“Demain j’aurai 20 ans” d’Alain Mabanckou

Un jeune garçon, Michel, raconte son enfance au Congo… Et c’est toute la vivacité, l’intelligence, l’ingénuité avertie d’un adulte qui se penche sur le petit garçon qu’il a été.

C’est un livre sur l’enfance, ses joies pures et ses mélancolies. Cette fraîcheur insuffle au lecteur douceur et énergie. Et dans ces évocations du passé non seulement la fidélité n’est jamais artificielle, mais la nostalgie semble pleine d’espérance et il y a du bonheur au fond de la tristesse.

C’est un livre sur l’amour, sur tous les amours, celui que le narrateur porte à ses parents, à ses amis, à sa jeune fiancée. On y retrouve la pudeur des sentiments les plus vifs, et la tendresse faite de la gratitude qu’inspirent les moments vraiment vécus.

C’est un livre sur l’Afrique, son immense pauvreté, son extraordinaire poésie, ses sortilèges, et sa magie qui charge de mystère les paysages les plus familiers.

Merci à Alain Mabanckou pour cette promenade pleine de gaieté, de sagesse et d’humour au pays d’une enfance qui n’est jamais perdue quand on sait aimer.
